CAMP BELIEVERS - COMEDY SERIES

THE WORLD

We are living inside one of the most unexpected cultural shifts of the digital age. Christianity is having a moment — not in the pews, but on the feed. Young people, influencers, and public figures are coming out as Christian in record numbers, declaring their faith on camera with the same vulnerability and visibility once reserved for personal reinventions and mental health confessions. And the internet is responding the way it always does to something it didn't see coming: with chaos.

Camp Believers is a decades-old Christian summer camp in rural Georgia that has seen better days. The sign is hand-painted. The cots are rusty. The chapel lists slightly to the left. Enrollment is so low it is one bad summer from permanent closure. It is not a polished place. It is not an aesthetic place.

Into this world arrives the most unlikely group of campers Camp Believers has ever seen — the children of newly converted Christian influencers, fresh converts from every background imaginable, and kids whose parents found Jesus on a Tuesday and upended everything by Wednesday. They arrive on opening day with ring lights, gelled hair, matching luggage, and phones that will be taken away before the afternoon is over. They came from everywhere. They have almost nothing in common. And for eight weeks, with no WiFi and no audience, they are going to have to figure out what they actually believe.

Standing in the middle of the dirt road as they arrive is Newton — the camp's blind pig. Large, homely, magnificently unbothered.

THE CHARACTERS

At the center of Camp Believers is a counselor whose gift cannot be taught — she simply sees people, not what they're performing, just them. Warm but never weak, she is the one everyone finds at 11pm with something they've never told anyone.

Opposite her stands the oldest counselor at camp — tall, angular, a woman who has been here since nearly the beginning and believes ferociously and genuinely. She is not cruel. She has simply never learned that love and severity don't have to live in the same house. Struggles immensely with the "new-found Christian".

Between them is a newly divorced male counselor who is quietly carrying the wreckage of a life he hasn't finished grieving.

Among the campers: a teenage influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers who has never done anything without documenting it and is about to experience the first thing she doesn't want to film. A third-generation legacy kid who knows every hymn and hasn't meant a word of them in years. A raspy-voiced kid from Miami whose parents went public with their faith and paid for it professionally — and who has opinions about everything, including God, and is not afraid to say them in any room. And a turban wearing boy from a multi-faith household whose mere presence makes everyone examine their assumptions — the most spiritually grounded and most spiritually uncertain kid at camp.

Outside the gates,  a glossy Miami power couple who went public with their faith declaration are navigating the fallout with the same conviction that started it. Their business partner, a longtime friend, is caught between loyalty and survival — all the while their kid is in the middle of a Christian camp, just as lost and untethered.
